CLIVE CONWAY PRESENTS ‘SPEAKERS IN THE PARK’ AT REGENT’S COLLEGE


Clive Conway Celebrity Productions in association with Regent’s College will be presenting ‘Speakers in the Park’, a series of evenings with some of the most influential and interesting figures of recent times at Regent’s College Theatre in Central London. The monthly series will start in October with Sir Robin Knox-Johnston. Other guests will be Michael Mansfield QC, Sir John Mortimer, General Sir Mike Jackson, Michael Portillo and Tony Benn. During the evenings the speakers will talk about their lives and what is important to them and the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions.

The ever-intrepid Sir Robin Knox Johnston will be talking about his amazing achievements on sea and land including his recent successes in the Velux 5 Oceans Race. Sir Robin will also be signing copies of his new book, “Force of Nature”.

The much-loved writer and barrister, Sir John Mortimer, will be taking to the stage with ‘Mortimer’s Miscellany’, a compilation of readings, music and personal anecdotes.

The popular former Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Mike Jackson will be talking to audiences about his career including the 2003 Iraq War and what he thinks is wrong with the way our soldiers are treated.
Broadcaster, writer and former Conservative MP, Michael Portillo, will be entertaining audiences with his amusing anecdotes about political life and why leaving politics has given him a new lease of life. This is a brilliantly entertaining evening with one of the great political minds of our age.

The veteran Labour politician Tony Benn will be talking about his life in politics and what he thinks about the changes in the Labour party. Expect an evening of frank responses and entertaining political anecdotes.
The well known QC, Michael Mansfield, will be talking about life and the law and why he chooses to take on the cases that no-one else will touch. In the past he has represented the family of Stephen Lawrence, the Guildford Four and is currently representing Mohammed Al-Fayed.
